THE G STARS is an after school singing and dance club for children aged 5 and upwards, inspired by the hit TV series, Glee.

Run by Katy Godfrey, a CRB checked professional singer - every class is energetic, fun and fantastic for building confidence! Children don't need to be able to sing or dance but have to enjoy at least one of them to get on in this class. All G STARS classes are interactive and engage young brains to get involved and become part of the class. Through this interaction with other children and being able to have their own input, you will see your child's confidence levels soar in no time at all!

THE G STARS is all about having fun and learning pop songs that the children will probably already be familiar with or certainly will be by the end of a class! This is a class to let whatever talent you have shine through and have the most fun doing it!

Katy Godfrey is the founder of THE G STARS and is massively excited about this project! Katy has been a professional singer for 12 years and has extensive experience on stage, in the studio and of teaching children.

Having been trained for 12 years in Ballroom, Latin American, Street and Disco dancing, Katy decided it was time to move on to other areas of performing and so started off her musical career studying for a Diploma in Popluar Singing at Vocaltech in London. Katy graduated with top marks and a Distinction and the award for Best Performer of the Year. She went on to sing with various covers bands on the London scene, and amongst other sessions recorded lead vocals for an exciting Irish dance band project which saw her launch into the Top 40 UK Charts and Top 10 Irish Charts. Following this Katy has gone on to record for various producers in live tv and session work as well as continuing to perform all over the UK and Europe with her own live band and other top UK function bands.

Katy began teaching young children at the age of 17 and after teaching private lessons for both children and adults, has over 50 children signed up to G STARS since the classes began in September 2011. G STARS has grown quickly and into new paths, with singing workshops for adults and children with learning disabilities as well.

It's important to Katy that everyone is engaged with what they're learning and have a fun environment in which to grow.
